Just purchased the "Turbo" script fender decal for my 951 from Suncoast Porsche Parts. After I opened the package I noticed that it's an "Avery Dennison" decal with the correct gradient design and includes a sticker with the Porsche part number. Can anyone confirm if this is the original part or a reproduction? I thought I read somewhere that the OEM sticker came with a placement guide etc. Maybe I'm overthinking it but for $78 figured I'd check with the group. *The Amazon.com sticker is due to the fact that I paid through my Amazon account number.
IF it is the correct part, any advice for correct placement on the fender?
The placement guide is just the way the oem 3M sticker is cut at the factory it has a curve cut into it to follow the fenders bow out and the hood line is straight cut so you can align right where it needs to go, you pull the backing off and use liberal soapy water spray to apply it to cleaned wax removed fender then use small squeeze to remove bubbles once happy on location you carefully peel back the paper membrane that's made to get wet and squeegee over and then do a final squeegee to make sure all bubbles are out. Let cure for 24hrs and fully dry before doing any major speeds or messing with car.
