Imagine bolted to unibody at top and at trailing opening of wheel well.[sp] [sp] Rear tire is just forward of that aluminum support strut.
I fitted an "S" Fabspeed Maxflo with mirror black tips on my 06 Carrera4. In order to fit it, I disconnected the bumper support strut at its top to accommodate the too far forward new exhaust can. This was sloppy and it bugged me but it worked. The mounting spot of this support rod needed to be about an inch towards the front of the car. Thinking.....Fast forward a few months and I fashioned extensions for the bumper mount from CF card I had on my bench. Rigid and very flat, almost looks expensive.
