The black/tan 28K car must have more miles. Hard to believe it sold in 2012 and no miles since. Someone had to have driven it in the last 5 years. Does anyone buy a car and immediately park it without driving it?

Wow. That 85 auto with 16k looks really clean. Pretty good presentation as well. The automatic makes it a bit of a risk for flipping but there is only upside from 20k. Underside pics would be important here.
I would need a place to hide it for about a year, and clean it up a bit if the underside is not as nice as the top side.

It's actually somewhat rare."Without Front and Rear Spoiler" Also has LSD, 5spd Borg Warner and stepped up fans. FBC, front & rear spoilers (and rear qtr glass trim) must have been swapped in later ? I just PM'd seller to see what's up and will report back. T

Seller just replied via eBay:
"My friend who was the original owner had car in storage in his garage for a few years where he seldom used the car as he also had a 911 and a couple of other toys as well as his commuter vehicle. When the speedometer/odometer stopped working he didn't bother to fix it as he didn't use the car or drive it more than once or twice a year. I need to look at the carfax report I have when I get home to see the specifics from the report. I saved original parts, including WP and TB and both looked like new when I took them off." I also asked the seller about when and why the front and rear "S" type spoilers, FBC, and rear qtr window trim were swapped. I'll again report back after seller replies. T

MY 81 auto...SOLD, SOLD, SOLD for $ 9,000 at Mecum Kansas City. Looked like a nice repaint and no rubstrips. Interior looked a little tired but all there:https://www.mecum.com/lots/KM0317-27...1-porsche-928/

C'mon Rennlister! 1 more day! Someone here has got to show some interest in the best S4 year ('89) with all the right parts, right? Anyone? Someone's going to get a very good deal.

Thank you guys! Couldn't be anymore happier with the results. Was a little hesitant after the Weissach's lukewarm auction, but this went beyond what I expected it to go. Very happy and humbled with the results. I am going to continue to find parts for this car in my garage so they will go with the car for the new buyer. He already contacted me, so far so good.
-Hoi
PS: guess I have to change my signature pic since both the cars are gone from my possession.

Congrats Hoi. That was a better price than I expected too. I have a very nice 100k mile '89 that I am about to submit to BaT if a friend does not buy it locally. This one has a near perfect interior, timing belt and water pump and all new AC and new Michelin SPs. I was only expecting to get about $15k for it.

Thanks! Strike the iron while it's hot. I'm sure your reserve will be higher since the car is nicer. BaT will also be more confident with a higher reserve.
Good,luck!
