Default Heading to VIR this week 3/17-3/19

I went to VIR last fall with the Coke car and had an absolute BLAST! What an awesome track. I am now slated to head there again this week with Zone2PCA. Will be running Fri through Sun. If you're in the area, would love meet up and have a beer when the track closes. This is just a DE. Not a race. Sorry. Still fun though!

Call/text 734-837- seven nine zero e!ght.

Have fun Andrew!!! By the way, clean out your PM's. I tried to send you one a week or so and it said your box was full. Good luck, and post some pics/video when you get back.

I will try to come up and say hello. Won't be driving, already cashed in my March track day chip earlier this month at VIR with Chin, and lots of work still do do on car.

Sorry, I had let my RL membership lapse... I'm back up now. So re-send if needed.

Didn't see you Ken. Was an amazing time! Last Lap of the last session turned out to be my best lap ever! Shaved 2 full seconds off my previous best time.

Had a Code-Brown moment that I will post later today/tomorrow.

Here's my best lap!

Yes that SloMo was code Yellow!!!!

Aside from that stupid on-track move, the best lap is simply awesome!! that car has such a presence, cheers for sharing.

Put together a Best Lap vs Best Lap video from VIR to see where I improved the most between November of last year and Spring of this year. It's pretty clear it was in the climbing esses, but there were improvements all over the entire circuit. It takes ***** of steel to go up those esses flat footed. Still haven't done 100%. I always lift a little, but you'll see last Fall I lifted a lot! Data suggests I can go 100%, my brain and *** say otherwise. Anyway... enjoy.

I hate that I missed this thread a few weeks ago. I would have tried to come up. I'm about an hour or so from VIR. Never been there, but have been looking for a reason to go.

Looks like you had a good run. My goal is to some day to have a track car to run and play with....some day maybe

You don't need a dedicated track car... not at all, especially at VIR. VIR is a VERY friendly track. I heard the owner/developer built it for historic races, so there's a TON of run off - except at the slowest corner, Oak Tree. It's like a country club for cars!

For a few hundred bucks you could totally run VIR with your car (assuming it passes tech). Just need to go through it and make sure it's up to snuff.

I'm planning on going out there again in November. Should be a hoot!

Call me crazy, but your seat looks to be moving a LOT with the G-Forces. Have you noticed that? Are you sure it's properly mounted?

It's good and even has additional reinforcement - I just checked it last night as a matter of fact. But to be fair, I don't have the back brace mount like some people have - so I think that accounts for the flex.
