The painted vent option CDN is one of the most interesting 'Porsche Exclusive' options available to personalize your interior & have something to match your exterior paint. It works best with the bright colors, either standard offerings or PTS. It's simply stunning in Bronson's 'Racing Yellow' gt3. It's not inexpensive...but it offers MORE than the painted slats, as you can read below. I strongly recommended to all for your consideration!
I prefer the subtle effect of option CDN:
But that is just a personal opinion.

Eduardo, exactly right. This option is more than just the slats painted, the extra leather and stitching makes it, in my opinion. I was originally toying around with painted interior trim in RY, but that in my eyes was a bit too much, actually I went with the Anthracite trim, to tone down the shiny aluminum look. The slats and belts are just enough in RY. Certainly not for everyone, but that's what makes the world go round and round.

Hi Eduardo,
On the current 991.2 GT3 configurator, when you choose option CTR Air Vent Surround Painted, you can choose the color you want (exterior paint or deviated). Is it a CXX option to choose a deviated color on option CDN Air Vent Slats Painted.
I'm wondering if the configurator is not updated to show this. It would be odd that you can choose a deviated color on CTR but not on CDN.
My thought was if you could choose black as the color on CDN, it would blend with the black leather dash while having the vent surround in leather (which also blends with the black leather dash and gets you stitching.)
Added the painted slats on my RS...looks killer in my opinion; really makes the interior pop. Plus, when peaking in from outside it looks really special, not like your typical interior. Will definitely do it on my GT3.2. However, colors are limited to standard palate unless you get a PTS car, then they will match the vents to exterior...fingers crossed for Voodoo Blue

Looks great - 2 points:
1. If you get red stitching, it may be too much red as the stitching is surrounding the vent slats
2. "Colors limited to standard palate" was my question to Eduardo above. Currently the color is limited to the exterior color only on the configurator.
The configurator lets you see deviating colours for the painted vent option. You can get deviated painted slats as well but it doesn't show it unfortunately. If you like the leather sides and extra stitching but don't want too much colour, you could request painted black slats. They would be gloss paint though.
I don't believe they will do PTS vents but lava and Miami are options.
When working with Yana at Porsche Exclusive on my RS, I was told they could paint the slats a standard Porsche color, so I chose Guards Red to match belts/brakes. I assume that meant anything on the 911 configurator. I only know this because I was contemplating Viper Green stitching and asked about Viper Green slats...got the big "no, only if your car was PTS that color."
I have a lowly 991 GTS but can tell you that the body-colored (non-black metallic) console is one of my favorite interior details. It nicely compliments the balance of the trim which is black anthracite aluminum.
When it comes to painted interior bits, I'm of the opinion that less is more.
