Does anyone make 22" spinners in a Porsche bolt pattern?

Well not the windfall you were hoping for, but it did sell and for more than your reserve I believe. But now you have to change your avatar again. Don't want to be that guy who keeps pictures of his ex in his wallet.

Yes at least found that one person who wanted it. I lowered my reserve during the auction when the bidding was so sparse, so wound up settling for the $13K. Is that guy @coco some sort of shill bidder? He bids all over the place just to drive up prices, and he helped me out as well. What if he wins?

Well good to see you sold it. Was really holding out that you would get more.

Glad you sold it. A good buy IMHO; maybe the miles scared people away? Hard to say, but within the range you were putting out before the BaT listing.
What next? Another shark?

pm'd this seller through eBay a few weeks ago and made a few suggestions that might have helped with the sale. These suggestions would not have cost him much..ex: swap in clear 7" sealed beam H4's in place of the (illegal?) yellow headlights, take the car for a short ride to settle the suspension, etc. Seller pm'd back that he was not interested in what I had to say and was going to report me to eBay....what a dick. Appears seller has since changed his tune over on BAT being that car has not sold. eBay listing: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Porsche-928-...p2047675.l2557

I do think there is a little bell that rings when the mileage is greater than 150K. It is a real stigma, except in the realm of cars that are so old that the only running examples have all been fully restored (e.g. 60s muscle cars).
At this point in life, I am through with these old machines. A great time was had but, I'm out. I already bought myself a nice fast Maserati sedan to go around in, we will see how long that lasts.

Yeah I mean, this car sat for months on the Bay Area craigslist, listed twice at $16K obo, and not even one contact. So, I can't be too salty about the price. The odd thing though is that the guy who won the auction is from the Bay Area where it was on craigslist since November. ?

Agree with your sentiment regarding taking car of these old machines. I continue to love the marque, pashionately, but it sure is damn expensive and discouraging to keep these 928's in perfect condition if you can't do the maintenance yourself, like me. Solution is to find an honest mechanic who is proficient, honorable and fair on price. They are definitely in short supply. I have only found one, Colin J. who unfortunately is located near Vancouver. Alas, wish we had his clone in the New York City area.
But you never know, maybe the grass just looked greener from somewhere else, and I'll be changing back before long.

Three Wheelin'
'78 Euro for $2000 obo
Doesn't look too bad for something that can be purchased under $2000.
