Default Anyone run 305/30-19?

As I sit here in the midst of the Northeast's March blizzard, my thoughts turn toward track season...

I use 19" Forgelines for track and summer (amazing wheels, BTW). 9" wide front and 11" wide rear. I ran 255/35-19 and 295/30-19 PSCup2s last season. I'll be ordering new tires soon, but just saw on TireRack that the 295/30-19 PSCup2s have become ridiculously expensive, actually $100 more per tire than the next larger size of 305/30-19. I'm tempted to change to 305/30-19 in the rear for reduced cost. And 305 rears would also allow me to try the Bridgestone RE71Rs that everyone raves about. I'm not worried about the 0.2" increase in overall diameter that the 305s would bring, but what about clearance issues with rear suspension components due to 10mm increased width? Anyone try 305s in the rear on an 11" wheel and can report their findings?

its not just the clearance...you also need to look at what compression and hitting the curbs will do for compression...

I underestimated this when running a spacer in the front and got a tirecut on right front which was caused by the bumps of Sebring T1..... (high compression caused by high speed sweeper and big bumps in the sweeper)

all other corners including sebring T17 where fine

I have a client of mine that is running our SV104 19x11 rear with the RE71R 305 and loves them. Fit great with no rubbing, at least on our wheels

Good info, thanks. What offset are your 19x11 rears?

Just remember, the GT4 already has more grip than power. Sometimes more tire is actually slower on track...

What track was this picture taken at? I just see a parking lot with a car with a Targa Trophy sticker. I looked up Targa Trophy and it looks like some obnoxious event focused on cruising around the street and looking cool and/or rich. (I cringe a little at any automotive group that uses the word "lifestyle" on their front page.)

Can you post any pictures of cars with your wheels competing in SCCA and/or NASA wheel to wheel racing events?

No problem Alan, he is running 265 up front on 19x8.5 ET55.

He is located in CA and has attended several track days already since the install including a day at Laguna Seca and Thermal Raceway.

For more details of our brand and wheel options, please feel free to reference our release thread.

Review from the Lotus 2016 USA Cup Championship Team:
"We completed 2 full race weekends at Buttonwillow and Laguna Seca where Nicolai swept all 4 races leading from pole 3 times to finish with no less than a 9 second lead to as much as a 32 second lead in Lotus Cup Trophy class. He qualified at Laguna Seca 1:33.5. FYI, Nicolai won the 2016 Lotus Cup USA Trophy class series championship with several convincing wins from the back of the pack. Great season of racing and your signature wheels have held up well." - 2016 Lotus USA Cup Championship Team

Nicolai leading the pack:
