+1 .. for Slate Grey metallic 993 coupe . . .

Of the 93's 5 year production, Slate Grey metallic was offered in model year-esq '94 / '95 as a Tier 1 paint option; Tier I, Tier II and Paint to Sample were the paint option selections IIRC. The popular Tier 1 paint option cost is approximately a $Grand+ USD with the Tier II paint option inching up in cost to $3,600. The Paint to Sample paint option is $stupid money$

If not for the 3 to 4 month addition to an already 5 month build schedule, I'd own a MY98 C2S coupe finished in Stone Grey metallic (LY7U) with what PAG calls Lt. Grey Beige Full leather interior. Think a darker-ish linen/crème beige.

Porsche's Stone Grey metallic was a stock metallic paint offering between say '86 thru '91. As Porsche grey's go, its 1 shade lighter than the darker Slate Grey metallic. Stone Grey metallic would look great on a 993 coupe ...... Bring money...

You'd think more people would have chosen more interesting and attractive colors than black and silver when the cars were new.

+1. .. B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L coupe photograph ... and foreground composition

Interior color? Black leather? Or a light colored Porsche grey/beige/linen leather? ..Damn, the 993 production years saw grey metallic for a single yea or maybe two.. as a readily available Tier One metallic exterior option. A beautiful color for the 993 series .... Damn, PAG douche bags.

Black interior. I like the colour so much that I got my 991 R in slate grey (non-metallic).

Just caught up with the thread .... Oh Stockholm996TT you suck.... Spec'ing a new 911R would make my day. Again, and again, and again. I'd even follow suit with Slate Grey w/white stripes, black leather everywhere interior. O man that's a nicely understated, classic aesthetic. You Lucky man.

Here's a YouTube / Motor Trend PR piece of the 911 R coupe. Its diverse video footage some shot within an air-field in Germany ala Top Gear. www.youtube.com/watch?v=6EbbxWI7UvA

Here's a second 911 R coupe video. The drivers view looking outward is fantastic. www.youtube.com/watch?v=yee8rvQhMhw

Do share a few pic's of the R coupe.... You're a Lucky Man.
