Screwed up wiper motor overhaul
As part of my wiper regulator overhaul, I dissembled the wiper motor and when I put it back together it is noisy. I am not sure what did wrong.
I removed the motor casing for inspection. I removed the two securing tabs and pulled the cover off. As I did this the main rotor pulled free from the brushes and the main bearing at the top pulled out of the seat.
When I re-assembled, I made sure the brushes were re-installed correctly and the bearing was properly aligned when I pressed it together.
I'm sure it's got to come out but not sure what to look for. Tips appreciated.

Do you have an exploded view of that? I didn't see any in there

Closing out on this thread. MrMerlin, happy belated B-day, and thanks for the link the post. I used that to re-dissasseble the motor and I was able to determine the little rubber stand-offs that support board that house the magnet bushings were not properly seated in the motor cap. The result was the magnets were rubbing against the rotor coil wires. I was able to encourage the rubber posts into their holes using some Deoxit lube. I tested the motor and it was much quieter.
I also noticed the set screw on the top of the worm gear shaft can adjust where the magnet bushings are aligned on the shaft.
All better now, thank you.
