928 On Display-Need Best Information for Viewers to read.
G'day All,
My car is about to be put on display for a few months in a friends large Rental car business in my home town.
I would like to have a trestle set up with information regarding the history of the 928.
I do not feel knowledgeable enough yet to do it justice, hence this request.
May I have a template, or your opinions at least, on the best synopsis of our cars, weather you have authored your own, or have seen one you think will leave a reader by and large, "informed".
TIA
Kiwi

The data on Wikipedia, albeit generic, has been vetted and reviewed a number of times and is as accurate as any source.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Porsche_928
Not sure whether your car was originally a NZ market car, and I only have data for 1980-1995, but for what it's worth there were only 11 (!) New Zealand (C24) market cars in that 16 year period. All between 90 and 95, so perhaps they weren't broken out as a separate country code until '90 (?) There were 1260 Australian market cars in the same period.

My car was imported direct from the UK, being first Registered (NZ) in Auckland 24th January '85.
It is claimed to be the first or second 928 to land in NZ, (I am still trying to verify this).
Thanks again.

I am pretty sure I saw 928's in Auckland in the early '80's. I would be surprised if they were not imported new in '78 when the car was released worldwide. I think Colin Giltrap were the agents at the time so someone there may be able to verify.

Any chance of using an older ipad on a stand?
I have been thinking of getting one of these for non-928 crowd shows.

You could run videos in a loop, like the one at the salt flats in 87, some of the old commercials and a few highlight slides.

I put this together about 5 years ago for a display at our local new car show.
Hopefully it's legible enough. I won't have access to the files until this weekend.

Here's the Wikipedia article that sparked my initial interest in the 928....
