Can I ask you guys for an opinion? Between the Carrera S or the RS Spyder Design wheels, which one would you prefer for graphite blue? Thanks
I picked the RS wheels. So many cars have black wheels these days, but I don't like the look. The silver wheels are nice but I was looking for something a bit different. the RS wheels are darker than silver, but won't disappear into the wheel wells of my white car like the I felt the black wheels would. After looking at etc RS wheels and the S wheels, I thought they looked too "bright". I considered the S wheels painted satin, but the cost difference to etc RS wheel wasn't that much at that point (on a C4, you have to pay for 20" wheels anyway, to start).
Sorry if this has been answered already but I couldn't find any reference to the question. I have yet to see this color in person but in photos it reminds me so much of Slate gray (non metallic). I love the classic Porsche colors but really don't want to deal with the hassle of PTS or pay the premium it commands on the used market. So, does Graphite look like a McQueen car or is it something different entirely?
Slate gray non-metallic that I'm referring to vs Graphite;
In person, both look similarly grey, with Slate trending greener, while Graphite leans bluer. Both tremendous colors; my natural affinity for green over blue makes me slightly prefer Slate.
That said, I have a Wrangler in Anvil, which is on the blue side of that rich non-metallic medium grey hue we're talking about. Been loving it for three years now.
