Burning Brakes
regarding your oil-cooler work:
did both - on my two cars.
At the convertible, i`ve decreased the temperature for starting the oil-cooler fan
for this, i`ve used a Bosch EV1 connector to make it reversible...
It has proofed it`s functionality at a tour to the south of france... no temp issues anymore.
At the blue Qpe, i`ve done the manual hack with the switch to ground. For this, i`ve used the PIN 22 of the small CCU plug (brown/red wire) and connected it to a switch (i`ve used the fog light switch for this) to connect it with "ground". With that, i can manually activate the "fast" oil-cooler fan.
Additionaly, i`ve done a second oil cooler add-on at the blue car. No temperatures above 95° anymore, even at the track....

Based on the scripts I get in the mail, resumes, dvd's of work, etc you might think so :-)
Hey, at least he makes good movies.
reminds me of the "michael bolton" dialog in office space.
Very nice on using the EV1 to make it easily reversible. Yes, this is such a simple mod and assuming the rest of the system is functioning right, does help keep temps cooler. I look forward to some track time on mine to see how it helps. I will have the 2nd cooler, and eventually a 3.8+ in the car so this is all preventative for that work!

Car looks great Chris. I'm assuming you took those closer to the begining of the drive.
R compounds?
I wish we had a bit more of that setting around here.

The scenery is fantastic. Some of these roads are very busy but there are a few of the canyons that are less travelled.
Yeah I run NT01 all the time. I just don't go out when it's wet.

You know how these things always take longer than you anticipate? Sort of like the home remodel I'm going through at the moment...
Well, the 964 "IS" going into the shop to get "finished" well at least this phase of it :-) Hopefully end of week. It will take some time though.
