Went out to our first PCA breakfast and meeting. We got a great welcome and I look forward to attending a lot of events with the Vegas chapter. I also finally was home during the daylight so took some photos as well. So far love the car and have some things that need addressed: started blue smoke at startup yesterday, stereo doesn't retain its settings after each turn off, and found some small damage with rust that I will need to address quickly. So far i have added the racing stripes ( I know not everyone's cup of tea, but it was for my kids and I love them - stripes and my kids ), painted the calipers from black to red, painted the wheels gloss black, intake resonator delete, black lug covers, and license plate screw covers. Some pics from today, enjoy!

What paint did you use to paint the calipers? I have a guy that wants to trade my wheels for some TurboTwists and he will get them powder coated black. I'd like to paint my calipers red when I do the switch.

Thanks man. I had one of my shops paint the wheels, calipers, and the license plate screw hole covers. I will be taking it back for them to repair my right quarter panel as well.
Thank you. I want to lower the car, tint the windows, and fix the stereo, then down the road switch out the front bumper with something more aggressive looking.
Vegas had like a week straight of gray clouds and rain. The sun has been out for s couple of days now so had to put the top down on the way home from work today. I installed some LEDs for the parking lights up front, and swapped out the front/rear turn signals with LEDs as well. The side markers are next. I have a new flasher relay coming to correct the hyper/slow blink I get now. The front parking LEDs are super bright. I love them!
So, sorry for the newb question, but what all 996s got the 911 badge on the rear? 40th AE and millinium editions I know, but what others? Because to my untrained eye, this looks to be a 996.2, and it can't be a 40th AE because it's not a silver coupe...
Also really digging the aero, and I think the stripes are cool.
