I have a better idea: Get a wrap for the engine cover to make it look like a clear deck with an engine underneath--kind of like those tattoos that look like the skin is peeling back and there is machinery underneath.

That glass/plexi top will be louder then hell. And not cool-loud. The carpet coverings in our cars are actually a dense soundproofing foam. Be careful what you wish for.

IMHO, the 997 engine has nothing interesting to look at. I guess it would be good to see if the coolant tank was cracking without opening the lid.
