release to transport means that the transport company have 3 day window to pick it up after which they will incur a penalty. though, it does not mean the car will be delivered immediately, sometimes they pick the car and it it sits somewhere in a hub before final destination depending on multiple factors. Most likely car will be at dealer maximum a week from release to transport date
getting the pics from your SA with the full wrap will be exciting

Mine was finally delivered this morning. What an amazing looking car. Can't wait for a nice day to head out for a spin. Until then, will be drooling over it in the garage.

2. My dealer updated me today: it was 'released for transport'. No idea what to expect in terms of how long from that point. Sounds imminent. Like this week...? Unless it takes a while to get a truck to take it...?

Any news or insight from your folks?

Thanks!
Ours was released for transport yesterday. Currently awaiting assignment to carrier. Assuming it's picked up within the three day window it could be here before Saturday! Once on a transport a bill of lading is issued and the dealer pays for the car. At that point they should have an ETA from the carrier.

Thanks for info on Dundon.

Today (1/17/17) my RS was offloaded at the Port of Jacksonville, completed PDI, and was released for transport. With luck, it should get to my Houston dealer by early next week.

Nice!!! Congrats!!!

I'm having my guy do a temp PPF in my garage so I can bring it straight home from the dealer!!

I find I'm waaaaay more excited for my RS than I was for my GT3.

This has been a completely different experience for me from the one with my 2014 GT3. With the new RS, I got a call from my dealer on 12/27 asking if I was still interested in getting an RS, and it now looks like it will be delivered in less than a month from when he gave me the call.

In the case of my GT3, I put my name on a list in March, 2013 and placed a deposit in July, 2013 when the allocation was confirmed. THe car arrived at the Port of Houston on 2/11/14, just in time for the stop sale due to the engine problem issue. After getting an engine swap in July, 2014, it was finally delivered to me on 8/7/14.

Officially in its home. Sadly it's hibernation time in Indiana. The red vent slats are simply stunning in person, make the interior really look special--perfect complement to the steels and red belts. Highly recommend this option for those on the fence.

Not the greatest pic, but you get the idea. The red illuminated sills look really great too.

Congrats on finally getting her home. I also agree with the painted slats, I have them and love them. By the way, we need more pics please.

yes, the script on the sills is also in Guards Red and lights up. CXX option. Seems like Viper Green was an option too. Looks pretty cool.

Hope your car car arrives soon; my pics are quite boring compared to your extravagant plans! Can't wait to see.
