FYI, mine has held up well.
Another pic from this past August, after 2 seasons and 6k km's.

I would think a non-928 driver (like the valet) would be more prone to starting off in reverse thinking it was first. You know... a non-dog-leg driver :-)
The leather is new and supple and very well sewn. Its a good replacement for an old cracked boot.

That looks very nice.
Anything similar for the auto shifter in the works? Maybe with an illuminated Porsche crest instead of the shift pattern?

We do offer a Sport Shifter for the Automatics. It is here:

There will be no shifter with a Porsche crest embedded into it. We used to have a shift **** for 5-speeds with a Porsche crest embedded into it. We purchased the Porsche medallion from Porsche and mounted into the **** and applied a clear acrylic over the top. It was very nice. We got a cease-and-desist letter on that from Porsche. They are very very picky. As we are a licensed Porsche parts dealer, I can not jeopardize my discount for such a thing. So no, we will not be applying a Porsche crest to anything.
(This is why we cannot sell those hood liners with the Porsche crest in them as well. )

Sure would like to see a copy of your " license " at best you are a wholesale customer ( like most repair shops ) and implying that you are somehow licensed, endorsed, certified or approved by Porsche can easy get you another far more serious cease and desist letter.... And the damages they go after are far more than simply making you pay retail for parts.

Whatever Jim, we were inspected by a visit from Kirt Shore from Porsche Atlanta, and only after that were we granted permission to order Porsche parts at a wholesalers discount and resell them. Call that what you want. We were inspected. In person. If memory serves; it was about 2004. Kirt might be able to tell you.
My point remains the same - we do not sell items with Porsche crests or any other copyright protected items (like the WSM on CD) because I will not jeopardize my relationship nor my discount from Porsche to do so.
If it makes you feel better I will rephrase "we are a licensed Porsche parts dealer" to "we are an approved Porsche parts dealer". Better?
