That's what I'm using as well for the cannon, didn't think to use a different one for the bucket does it make a difference?

You're better off asking Matt or one of the other detail gurus on that tbh. I just wanted to try several different soaps. I had no rhyme or reason however Chemical Guys does seem to push the Honeydew for foam cannons.

You really need a power washer to get a good, thick, foam. Pretty hard to get these types of results from a garden hose.

Damn. That foam goes on so much thicker/fluffier with 3100psi vs 1700

it does somewhat, but what i found out through experimentation is that you want a mixture that stays on the car the longest. Try using very hot water in the foam gun when you add the soap. You also need to find the right balance to get it to stick. I use DI water which I think helps too. Regional water variation in hardness and GPM on washer also contribute to how long it sticks on the car.....

I have always been very leery about using a power washer. In Florida there is always a lot of fine sand attached to the car. I am concerned that such grit could actually "sand" (abrade) the paint when moved by high power washers vs. low power. High power does have its virtues like the beautiful shot of Neurotic. Any experiences out there with high vs. low power in terms of damage to the paint/clear coat/seals etc? Thanks.

Do any of you guys worry about washing in the sunlight? I see a few pics here. I always wash mine in the garage....no sun, no wind.

Never since I use a de-ionizer. I let the car dry in the sun--never any spots!

You just have to be vigilant. Don't get closer than ~1meter to the car with the power washer. Never had any issues and my car has PPF.

Most good soaps are PH balanced so you don't have to worry as much about the sun, but never wash hot paint.
