Default Radiator Grill Mounting

Working on putting the front bumper together on my '82, and started to tackle the radiator grill.

I started to put it back on the car, but am uncertain as to how it should be mounted.

Specifically:
1. If there's a nut that attaches, within the bottom frame that is covered by the black rubber plug, to the bolt from above. (red boxes in the screenshot from the PET)
2. The purpose of the metal speed nuts on the top mounting points. The threaded portion of the speed nut is on the outer / away-from-the-body side of the nut. I find it weird that it's orientated that way and that the threading is vertical. (blue boxes in the picture of the grill).

The mounting hw that I removed was a hodge-podge and the rubber plugs were missing, so I don't have a good point of reference. Yes.....this in the minutiae of the car, but I'm trying to do everything according to spec.

Thanks!

The "speed nuts" are actually on the bottom of the grill uprights. In your photo the grill is upside down.

The three cap screws go up through the underside of the lower apron (the three holes that were covered by the missing rubber plugs) into the speed nuts.

The three bolts go through the upper ends of the uprights into the underside of the aluminum bumper frame.

And that's what happens when you look at something too long.

Thanks for the info....makes perfect sense.
