I can't wait for the end of the cheap money era. Encouraged by the indications out of the Fed this past week, but I'm still not convinced that the patient can handle the withdrawal symptoms and the doctor won't get cold feet somewhere along the way and keep supplying the drugs.

Not to get all political but just a heads up the fed is not federal nor a reserve. Ice cold Frozen feet sometime on trumps watch. Negative rates coming in the near future (During trump presidency)

I tend to agree the cheap money available currently is upping demand and production numbers for this rs model. Cant blame them. When someone offers you money you should take it before the next guy does
Stealership games don't help either. The fact that some people got multiple RSs (one to flip and the other one to have) is annoying. Sooner or later this shell game of demand that stealerships play will come bite them in the *** when the music stops and there aren't enough buyers to go around.

was porsche misleading customers? I decided to buy one a few months back and managed to get a build slot within two days. I never thought it would be ultra limited but I definitely thought maybe an average of 40 per state in the USA. Ultra limited are usually individually numbered. Hence the lfa i have #97 of 500 is individually numbered.

Well, last year around this time there were some people on here talking about how there will only be 500-600 RSs in the US and that production would end in the spring/summer. At that time premiums for the RSs were as high as $100k over MSRP. And then Porsche decided to keep building and building. I paid $50k over for my UV car back in the late spring but I got a lower MSRP car so I was fine with it. Had I known that they'd keep building till the end of this year I would have waited till recently and only paid $20k-$25k over. Oh well, I learned my lesson.

I really hope you're not trading on that basis.

Actually, I hope you are, and that I'm on the other side of that bet.

not a trader. Actually run a manufacturing business. Just have been fiddling with stocks lately via mobile app. Not doing so bad in my first few months. About a 20% return. Consider it more of a mobile casino. Good luck with your bet. Hope you go broke as well. Sticking with the tru p guy sterotype. Who wishes bad on someone??? Good luck either way bud!

Sarcasm meter must be broken. My first comment was serious. My second was facetious.

If you honestly believe negative interest rates on the way, you should be piling into long bonds. Which IMO would be a very risky bet at the moment, with way more downside risk than upside potential.

Let's put it this way. If the cheap money era in the U.S. isn't over, and the Fed reverses course and lowers rates, we're in even deeper shiite than the bears and doomsayers claim we are.

Porsche sets new sales record
In 2016, Porsche AG far exceeded its 2015 record. The Stuttgart-based sportscar manufacturer delivered a total of 237,778 vehicles around the world, some 6 per cent more than the previous record.

are you able to read or just to live in your own world + present it in here?

out of the linked press release above:
"Meanwhile, the legend of the Porsche 911 continues: With a total of 32,409
models delivered, sales of the 911 once again grew by 2 per cent, helping it to maintain its special position in the market for exclusive sportscars."

Revive RSR and Cup NA plan and derived street legal versions as GT3 RS R GT4 whatelse ?

Switch the 992 Turbos to NA plus hybrid to keep brand 911 tradition feeling

(NA given exclusivity) with a bridge to future (hybrid emission homologation)

Why the hell should i buy a 992 for 200k if it is a damn turbo like everyone else (and AMG , Baby Mc , future Baby F? etc. costing less) ?

AMG GT R and futures competitors at less than 200k as soon as the flipping bubble burns will kill any kind of over inflated 991/2 (Turbo)

if u loose your brand uniqueness (placing batteries on the rear axle will.maybe save it? )

and if u have any plan to survive as a brand the next 20 yrs or so you won t base your brand positioning /margins strategies on few customers gone mad during the early (20) '10...
