I had the same issue as my bezels cracked and broke in the characteristic locations. Patience....was the key.
I finally found a car in Connecticut with a perfect bezel. When I got it home I washed it, wiped it down with alcohol, roughed up the rear of the flange and poured epoxy resin into the back (with bezel face down) of the flange that resulted in a doubling of its thickness and reinforcement of the once fragile lip. It will never break under normal circumstances now. Should those that need one find an original, I would recommend doing something similar.
I would like a quote on one installed please. Awesome work, and I hate my aftermarket cover on the 86.5.
You can share the quote here or text me.
Happy New Years
Thomas
Sure thing Thomas. When I get back to work tomorrow I'll figure out material costs.

Nice work Nate- haven't forgotten about the oil level rubber boot, just recovering from some virus my kids have been trying to kill me with.
Easily! Haha. Nice idea. No rush on the boot. Hope you feel better.

Ok, for those that are interested in purchasing one of these 3D printed temperature sensor housings, here is what I can offer.
Option 1: $40 for an uninstalled, unpainted housing. Printed in white as shown below. This way you can custom match interior accent colors or just save $10 and paint it black yourself.
Option 2: $50 for an uninstalled, black painted housing. Printed in white and painted black as shown below.
Option 3: $60 for an installed, black painted housing. The thermocouple and bell mouth flow straightener are removed from your donor housing and installed in the new black painted housing as shown below.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: This 3D printed temperature sensor housing is applicable to the February '81 and up style circled below. If you have an earlier style and are interested, send it to me and I'll see if I can make one that works and give you a finished version for free.
