It's 55 degrees here today so my son and I took the 928 out for a spin. The Fortress Maximus he got from Santa was riding shotgun.

Yes. Me too.
It's one of the first things I did to it when I bought it 14 years ago (rear wiper too).
I have little silver button plugs that fill the four mounting holes, so it's not permanent.
The wing really only matters above 120, so I put it back on for certain road trips.
I've done the same for my other S4. Here's a pic (same exact color as your 78).

+1 The more examples I see the more I like it. The wing on my car was painted. It's been buffed too vigorously, thinning the paint on a few edges. Might take it off and not be in a rush to repaint it for awhile.
