Headlight Gap

Headlight Gap
I am just wondering why with all perfect fitting pieces on this beautiful car the lower half of the headlight assembly is not flush. Checked several cars and they all are that way. I'm sure is reason.
Again, not complaining, just curious.
Thanks

My guess is that it has to do with the headlight removal process. The 991 is one of the only cars that allows you to remove the headlight before the bumper.

Maybe so. I watch the factory video showing the building of the car and a guy just slides the headlight assemblies into place. Just two bolts underneath.
Probably will never know for sure. They could for sure have made them flush on the bottom just as the top if it was their intent.

Although I believe on the .2's, the bumper has to come off first. It's been changed if I recall correctly.
