On the plus side, it's way better than it used to be. We used to take 2 full days to do variations of our original holiday circuit (La Mesa to south Riverside to Big Bear on day 1; Big Bear to Banning to Irvine and back to La Mesa on day 2) every Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter:
