Dealing with wheel well stone chips and surface corrosion
Hello all,
I've just purchased by first Porsche, a 2006 Boxster. It's a joy to drive and I got it for a good price, though it's a bit rough cosmetically by Porsche standards. There are a few stone chips and small scratches on the paint, but the area that concerns me the most is on the back of the front wheel well. I noticed an area on the lip of the fender where repeated stone chipping led to paint chipping and the start of surface corrosion. The same pattern appears around the same spot of the front wheel well fender lip on both sides of the car.
What would be your suggestions to prevent further deterioration in this area?
