Sunday. Car Show & Shine will be next door to the hotel at the Johnson Park Ampitheater. As you leave the hotel parking lot, turn left into the park and look for the 928s at the Ampitheater parking lot. Roger will be grilling Dogs & Burgers, and giving away lots of prizes.

The long range weather forecast was looking poor, but has improved to 3 mostly sunny days with highs in the low 70s and lows in the mid-60s. Hope this holds!

Arrived in San Antonio today with meetings tomorrow. Will be headed up to Marble Falls around 2pm so if anyone else is arriving Thursday let me know.

Avis "lost" my reservation for the Camero SS so they gave me a BMW 5 Series to make it up to me. Definitely not a 928 but at least it's German!

I had not realized that this event was so close. I have been so busy, I haven't had a chance to read the Rennlist forums lately. Good thing James sent out his email reminding everyone here in Austin of the event or I might have missed it.

So I tried to register and it says registration is closed.

The good news is that I am less than an hours drive from where everyone will be staying, so I don't need a hotel room. The bad news is that I have a prior engagement for Friday night and won't make it to the Italian dinner, but I will make it for the Saturday morning drive. I would like to be registered for the spirited drive. Also, I don't have a radio. What type of radio should I get? I assume I can pick one up at Best Buy or some other electronics store. Any recommendations will be appreciated as I don't want to be the only one on the drive without radio contact.

I will likely also make it for the Show and Shine on Sunday.

In due deference to those partying on Friday night I have moved the tour briefing from 8.30am to 9.00am at the hotel.
First group will leave at 9.30am.

 

Just rolled into Marble Falls. If anyone else is here tonight, I'm at Chili's outside on the deck enjoying a beer

 

Buddy and I decided to head out tonight. Should roll in around midnight.

 

Just a heads up, if you are coming in 281 watch for the deer. Quite a few totaled out cars and the road looks painted red with bits of fur, bone and antlers.

Oh, and the cops are a bit hungry too. Keep it under 15 over or it's a $285.00 ticket.
