Default Sunroof seal keeps coming off....

I've had an ongoing issue with the sunroof seal (rubber gasket around the sunroof) where it comes off the leading (front) edge. Dealer replaced it twice and it came off again within days. The third time they replaced it, it held for a couple of months, but is now coming off again.

Any suggestions for a permanent solution?

Any pics of where it is coming-off? There are several gaskets/seals that you might be referring-to. I am assuming you mean the large square rubber gasket that runs along the outside edge of the moving roof panel? There are others.... The larger gasket is replaceable, however I can tell you from experience that if you are not careful and stretch it at all the fitment will be "loose" compared to when installed at factory. Hopefully you are getting this repaired under warranty but if not it is a very simple procedure for anyone to do -- no glues, clips, or anything like that required. It is simply held-on by physics of friction.... But if you take a picture of where it is coming off, I might be able to provide a tip or two to correct.

Yes, it is the large square rubber gasket that runs along the outside edge of the moving roof panel.

Here's a picture. It seems to always come off the front (leading) passenger side corner first. With driving, air catches under it and lifts it off further.

Yes, I know the car is filthy. It adds character.

Must be a problem with the alignment of your sunroof unless they didn't install it right both times.
Luckily I've never had that problem!

You called it. Just picked the car up. Porsche advised them to measure the gaps to determine if it was misaligned. Indeed it was. Problem is hopefully fixed now.

There is nothing better than seeing your car pull up on the service's department's exit drive after not seeing it for 2 days.
