Default ATV

I'd posted this in the OT but considering it could be regional thought folks here might like this stuff. It's not Porsche, though Rotax is close by geographically. I got this BRP Outlander 800 for my property. I was blown away by the performance of the 800. Opening the throttle lifts the front wheels and in 4x4 it goes over logs like nothing. Definitely worth the price of entry. The PO tricked the machine with a +/- clutch and a very loud muffler. The local critters are warned. If I don't reply right away it's cuz I'm on the machine

Yup they are fun. Use the Father-in-law's Honda all the time when we are up north for a visit.

I'd love to have one of these but don't think they're allowed in the Lower Don. We go ATVing in Golden BC on Honda 400's every summer. Great fun. Can't outrun a bear though.....maybe with an 800.

I have an ATV at the cottage. It has to be 20 years old. Still makes me smile.
It was cutting edge at the time. Biggest one I could find at the time. 3oo cc.
Mine 273 kgs.
Yours 474 kgs ish. Don't get it stuck. Don't ride alone. Tell family or friends where your going and when you will be back.

Feh, dirtbikes are way more fun and a lot easier to get unstuck.

Getting stuck is half the fun! Does it have a winch on the front? I think I can see one...

It has a winch and snorkels. Though I hope I never need the latter.

I've always been a bike guy, but have to admit, this can be a lot of fun. Like a mini-rally car....that pushes snow like crazy

The places, old logging roads and trails, I take the ATV is not dirt bike friendly at all. Have to drive slow and need 4 wheels for that. Getting an ATV stuck is harder to then when on a dirt bike.

That's not what kills them. Hitting a tree at high speed does.
