Default along came a spyder...

So with 5,000 miles on my car, I have found something out about the new Miata.

When I see one and catch up to it on the road while in my Spyder, the miata driver pretends that I am not there.

I call this the spyder reflex. If the butterfly pretends I am not there maybe I will go away and eat someone else for lunch. Perhaps some bzr for instance.

Hah I have noticed the same thing. Funny thing is I have great respect for the Miata and I plan on adding one to the stable eventually.

I don't blame the haters. There were only so many to go around and at close to $100k average build here in the US not everyone could get one that wanted one which is why I think there will be a healthy market for these cars as time passes. I get ignored by everyone, except for the kids. They love the car and have no shame expressing their interest.. and they are the future.

I don't particularly like attention in a car, doesn't do anything for me. However, spyder gets multiple compliments almost every time I take it out. I think the design is really special, just all the right details coming together. Sometimes I park it outside just so I can look out the window and check it out myself occasionally.

I love how its a spectacular photo, in a spectacular location, of a specular subject, with a bunch of photographers not paying any attention to it!
