Had a little fun on the straight away at INDE Motorsports Ranch the other day. I sold the black GT3 to a good buddy of mine and now he's enjoying it as he should. RS has a Dundon Motorsports exhaust and the GT3 has a Sharkwerks exhaust. Volume up We lined up a few times and even when I gave him the leave the RS still walked away.
Yes I know these aren't drag cars but that doesn't mean we can't do it and have some fun. They run 11.1-11.2 in the 1/4 so they are very capable and very impressive. I have a Supra that has run 8.3@180 in the 1/4, full street car, stock manual tranny so I have a bit of drag racing experience as well...

The exhaust helps the RS but even stock the RS still would have won. It's a no brainer really. The RS is slightly lighter, bigger power band, more power and torque and the downforce doesn't come in to play hardly at all at these speeds. If the RS were stock and the GT3 had a Dundon it would be a very close race.
So a 991RS with Race vs a stock GT3 is way way up on HP, looks to be about 50whp everywhere over a stock GT3, and you can see it takes quite a while in the race for it to show...
A Dundon Race and Tuned GT3 vs an RS would likely be a dead heat and only at very very high speeds would the effects of the RS aero etc show up..
At ORP last weekend Jamie's tuned GT3 didnt pull away from my stock RS on the straight. Basically a 60-120 mph pull before you have to brake.
Just headers, stock tune. Was doing catted testing and needed the car stock... We were dead even as the RS didn't pull away on the 60-120 straight either...
Would be fun to get them out and do some "mexico" runs...
No doubt you gave him it to him from the dig. Looks like 30 35 hp the way you walked him.
As Jamie mentioned there's likely a solid 50hp gap between my RS and the GT3. I have a few friends with RS's so the next time I will try and line up my RS versus a stock RS.
