Selling some S4 cats
Hey folks, I have the original set of cats that came with my car. I am planning on selling them, hopefully to someone on the list that can make good use of them at a good price.
I have never sold a set of cats so what information or photos do I need to provide to give the buyer the appropriate information?
Also, I'd appreciate some input on price, and whether it's worth to sell or just take it to a salvage place.
Here are the pics I have:

looks like these have been modified ,
BUT they could be used for a stock system if the added on pipes are carefully cut off.

most people give them away or toss them. In some states it is illegal to sell used cats.

Yeah, I hadn't realized the cats had those welded extensions. I guess they are kind of a mess and likely not much use for sale. :-(

the 928 cats are ceramic so good luck selling them as scrap. (No sarcasm, I'm wishing you luck) I tried years ago to sell my entire stainless factory exhaust to a scrap place and they wouldn't take the cats. Later cars used metal cats and for a while people's cars were getting the cats stolen until the metal recyclers started requiring an ID and a certification from the state to sell scrap metal. (at least here in Texas)

Good call~! I didn't even get that much for the entire exhaust. It had been cut up and modified quite a bit so it was not something someone else could have used. I need to know where you take your scrap metal. I have more stuff to get rid of.
