Default Long shot: Anyone want to trade Carrera Classic II's for Sport Techno's?

Gang -- I picked up a 2012 991S a few weeks ago and love it, except I'd rather have the Carrera Classic II wheels than the Sport Techno's. Anyone in the broader NYC/DC area interested in a swap? Would also consider buying CC's outright if someone has a set for sale.

I have the Carrera Classics and love them. Those sport techno's look great, too! I am not interested in a trade but just wanted to say that both wheels look great! Would be a hard choice!

I have a set of gloss black ones I'd be interested in trading....they were professionally painted by Champion Motorsport. Are you only looking for the machined/silver color?

Yeah, looking for stock color. IMHO black wheels on a dark blue car is too much darkness.

Two great wheels. I'm a sport techno zealot myself, but I've always loved those classics as well. My guess it that you have no trouble finding someone to trade.

Sport Classics come up for sale a lot more often than Sport Technos. I would just hold out for a good deal on Sport Classics on Ebay. There is a roughed set for sale on the classifieds, which could probably be refurb'd relatively easily.

OR Sell the Sport Techno's outright, they will probably fetch a higher price than used Sport Classics due to more limited availability.

You CRAZY to get rid of the Technos. That's always a premium wheel on 911s. I had a set of them on a 996TT; they were a $2000 option over the cost of the standard Turbo Twists.

I'm in Wallingford, CT until tomorrow late eve and would like to trade. I have a low profile jack, 19mm long handle wrench and could do this on Tue, 9/26. I'll be flying back to TX Wed am and shipping MY15 GTS (5 lug) GTS to TX on Wed. Pirelli P-Zero's have 90% tread remaining up front and 20% out back. Can pro-rate the tires if yours have more tread. I'd like to keep my black/silver centercaps but do have a set of full color center caps back in TX. Save $ on shipping if you are able to do it on el-pronto on Tue, 9/27 otherwise it will cost us both for shipping. ONe of rims has a slight scuff that I would guess can be buffed out pretty easily (just have not gotten to it) I just www.busfreighter.com a full set of 20" rim/tires to TX from CT and cost was $ 151. tonycurcio1@yahoo.com cell/text: 203-912-6990

Thanks Tony -- only problem is the GTS wheels have a different offset in the rear than the narrowbody 991's.

I'm outside of DC, and my car is a "narrow body" like yours.

Looks fantastic! I think these work better with your car than your previous ones. Both sets of wheels look great, though! Congrats!
