I would definitely do this is I found the right kit. Screw that whine and cheese purist bullsh*t. I've seen the LB kit in person on that very car in the vid. It grows on me but it just doesn't quite hit the right buttons for me like RWB does. I think maybe the front wheels need more offset and a wider fender.
I absolutely love RWB cars. I got to meet Nakai-San in LA couple years ago when they were debuting a new car there. Super chill guy with a lot of attention to detail. Doesn't speak much English. He came to Phoenix to build one and that car is beautiful.
Back in the 80's it was Kremer/DP Motorsports putting extra-wide fenders with 345/15 rears. I recall even Porsche wouldn't do it fearful of shortened wheel bearing life. There's also a host of suspension issues to resolve with the wider track, not to mention affecting vehicle aerodynamics. Ruf for the longest time stuck to their narrow-bodied cars even for their most powerful versions (remember the Yellowbird Ruf CTR?).

Even still! The RUF RTR at Geneva this year was a narrow body 991, rwd, manual transmission, and 802hp
I was taking my two daughters in the Porsche to Verva street racing festival in Warsaw. Boy was I happy to see these two first RWB:s built in Poland by Akira Nakai San in 911garage.
So how fast/quick to these RWB Porsches go? I realize there are different levels of engine tuning, but has anyone seen their performance numbers or a comparison with other tuners or even OEM counterparts?
Hey great job on the photoshop buddy... I would love a decent looking wide body 997 kit and think if done right would sell...that said, a RWB maybe too extreme for what I would want and just too wide. Your rendering is likely how aggressive it would be if RWB did go this direction. Can you take what you did and offer half the width in front and back and repost? That I think would be a neat look....
IMO a 993gt2 style look but on a 997 would be what I would want as a kit....not as aggressive as the RWB and not as botched/chunky as the Liberty walk.
Here is a nice looking gt2 wide body 993 (believe a tribute but not sure) and if this could be adapted to my 997 would be all over it! See pic below of a beauty 993 gt2...
I wouldn't sacrifice a 997 gt3 car or a 997 gt2 car to do it but dare I see a run of the mill 997 I would have zero issue in bastardizing as there are plenty out there.....
Have said it before the best 997 wide body car ever done period is the one by Champion albeit talking 100's of thousands to do at this level.... my dream car no doubt. This is a full build and they went smooth in the finish rather then riveted etc...

for 5 min would say your good at photoshop.... any chance you can spend 10 min more and do another rendering of this but use half the size flare (or even a bit less).
If there was solid good looking wide body option I would be all over it... Liberty walk way to $ and not the look for me.

Hope not to upset you, but you both already have a "nothing special 997".... Unless a gt car (gt2, gt3 etc a GTS not quite there) a 997 is a mass produced car, numbers quite staggering how many on the road compared to prior air cooled 911 cars 930/964/003 etc. Anyone thinking they have the next uber collector car, ready to double in value, rare gem in their 997 prepare to wait a while.... sure its neat to think you have this truly rare specimen in your 997 but truth is just not the case....
Are they special cars in many respects sure, love the 997 and why I have one and came back after being in the air cooled world for a bit. But chuckle when see people acting as if they have claimed the holy grail of cars in their 997. Drive em, Mod em to your liking and have no worries your harming this holy grain collector car if you decide to chop into it and start cutting fenders....
