Default New to me '08 TT

I just switched from a '09 911 C2S to a '08 TT, 6spd, sports chrono. This is my second Porsche in less than a year. Both great cars but the C2S just didn't have enough power to suit me.

I'm in Austin, TX and picked it up local. Is anyone in the Austin area familiar with this car? Supposedly has a power kit (from AWE maybe?) including exhaust, TB, upgraded intercoolers/turbos and GIAC tune. Car is clean, miles were low and it runs good.

Very nice pick up! I made a thread about my new car yesterday, but I also am on my 2nd Porsche inside of a year, having gone from and '09 to an '08 like you did. My TT is stock though. I would not have been opposed to picking up something that already had some work done to it. Do you know what kind of power it is putting down? Looks good, mine is white too.

It will go on the dyno shortly. No, I don't have any numbers.

Last on my mods list. I don't get why everyone hates the oem yellow. First it will be lowered.

enjoy the modding, i don't know how the roads are by you but be careful with lowering, that lip is lower than you think. I like the yellow markers on trucks, not on cars... just me

What are you planning to do to lower it? My '09 C2 was lowered with H&R springs and had the H&R front and rear sways too. Handled fantastically but the ride was stiff. Driving my stock height 997TT feels so much more compliant, and I'm not constantly worried about ripping my front lip off. But I love the look of these cars lowered about an inch. Yes, definitely get that dyno too. I know the jump from 345hp to 480hp was pretty dramatic. I can only imagine what the jump from 385hp to whatever you're at now is.

Planning to install GMG WC springs, TPC DSC and Numeric shifter.

Congrats on the pickup!! By the sound of your mods, it seems like you do have the AWE power kit so that means we're basically twins!

STUN-NING!!!! Great buy. Do whatever you want to it. We'll either disagree or agree with you but it's your car. Personally, I would NEVER lower another car. Been there, regretted that, but that's just me. Have fun! It's so purty. Interior pics?

I will post some more pics later. Very clean for a 8 yr old car. Has years old clear bra that has yellowed but it seems to have done a good job protecting the paint. Needs new clear bra, tint, shifter, suspension mods and a more modern sound/nav system. The '08 and earlier PCM is ancient tech.

Does anyone around Austin know this car?
