I just did the install myself a couple months ago. I reused my non PSE tips. I can't say that the PSE tips are 100% the same, but my non PSE tips installed perfectly on the PSE.

If you look under your car, you'll notice the inner tip (opposite the clamp side), will be short by like 1/2" from pressure fitting. There will be a gap from the center muffler pipe to the tip.

See left side ^^

There is a gap, but it's the same as the gap that existed before I installed the PSE.

There is no gap with the right tips on S exhaust or PSE.

See pics above. The cupped pressure fit opposite the clamp side fits tight and snug on S exhaust and PSE.

The PSE tips are a bit longer there to get the correct fit. The S tips are shorter on the one side when putting them on the PSE.

STG is correct. There is no gap with the PSE tips and there is with the stock tips. My dealer showed me the difference when they did the install. Get the PSE tips if you want it to look perfect.

Te left side here is different in length between two tip styles. Also, different inner barrel design and outer chrome finish.

I had my PSE tips ceramic coated as pictured.

Nobody, even Suncoast could give me accurate info on the differences until I compared myself.

I don't know what to tell you. The non PSE tips installed on the PSE just like they were installed on the non PSE exhaust. With both exhausts, inner tips do not make physical contact with the pipes from the side mufflers. Depending on how far the tips are pushed onto the outer pipes, the inner tips can have gaps both because of the smaller radius of the tips, and front to back.

I will try to upload pics I took of how the non PSE tips installed on both the non PSE and pse exhausts.

I think the more relevant point is that the non PSE tipse can be installed on the PSE with no issues. Again, maybe there is a slight difference between the tips, but it's not big enough to make a difference.

If one sees the male/female shape on the non clamp side (as pictured above), the cupped center exhaust pipe off the PSE fits into the exhaust tip.

Me personally, I want the right fit.

Will the non PSE tips go on?? Yes, they will clamp on but with a 1/2" gap on the one side. I prefer to have my exhaust fumes exit the tips and not leak out under the bumper when not moving.

Just stating the facts for those wanting to know the differences.

Thanks STG, very helpful as always.

Anytime. FYI: Torx size is E12 for tip bolt that clamps over the right side. That side (outer) exhausts the side mufflers behind the rear wheels, and the inner tips exhaust the center muffler.

In both these pics, the tips are stock.

This first pic is with the standard exhaust obviously.

This pic is with the PSE.

The gap is almost identical. If it's smaller on the PSE, it's because when I installed the tips onto the PSE, I pushed them further on before I tightened down the clamp.

Again, all I'm saying is that the stock tips install onto the PSE just like they were installed on the stock exhaust. Please note that I'm not saying "the stock tips install onto the PSE just like the way the PSE tips install onto the PSE". I won't try to argue that the PSE tips are identical to the stock tips, because I never bought the PSE tips.

I don't have a problem with a little gap, because that's the way my car came from the factory. I assume that if a slight gap is ok with the stock exhaust and tips, then it's ok with the PSE.

Archimedes said to get the PSE tips if you "want it to look perfect." I'll accept that there is a slight difference in the dimensions of tips. But the only way for someone to see that difference would be if they crawled under the car. Otherwise, my car looks exactly the same as it did before I installed the PSE.

I'm arguing that there's effectively/mechanically no difference in the tips, no difference in appearance (besides the obvious chrome vs polished), and so folks should consider saving the ~$1,200 cost of the PSE tips.

Suncoast has the kit on sale for $2195 right now; not sure if it's a Black Friday sale or otherwise. With your $650 to labor to install, that's a heck of a price for this great upgrade!
