A 991 GT3 on stock Cup 2 tires can run 1:31's at Mosport quite easily. Just search youtube for some videos, you'll see people running 1:31's there. With trofeo R's it'll be at least 1s quicker than that. Hell, a Carrera S will run faster than 1:36's with decent tires (cup 2, RE71R, etc).
For Sure, although I would't go as far as calling it easy, then again you are driving a computer.

Haha... well of course it wouldn't be easy relatively, but when we're talking about what a pro would do, then we're already on a different level. And that's what I meant - most "pro" racers would be able to extract that time out of it. Not us mere mortals!

IMHO a Pro in the 991 GT3 would be able to achieve a 1:28 ish lap time at Mosport, that is based upon being at Mosport watching Jeff Pabst drive a stock
997 GT3 RS 3.8 to 1:29.6. 991 is at least a second faster.

There's one RL'r out there laughing...he did a PB of 1:27 in a 996 GTS last spring at the OTA event in the street category and won his class.
...and I thought we didn't post times?
Anyhow it was a good way to gauge both cars with the same driver during the same day. The tires played a role for sure and my but sensor was telling me the 650 was right at the limit of grip.
All in all the Porsche is still a Big Bang for the $
Looks like the P14 is coming.. and during mclaren rally we were told it will be faster than the 675LT.. base model which replaces the HP previous one.. sounds like Porsche needs to go turbo or hybrid to keep up?

I know Porsche will have the new GT2 out soon, but considering just how well the turbo S acquits itself in test after test, makes me think that if they [Porsche] just lightened and stiffened the current S chassis / susp., it would beat almost all comers.....
Not disputing the brilliance of the 570S but the Turbo S does come on Dunlop Sport Max Race's assuming you spec them.. Worth a .250 though in that test? Hard to say but possibly. 570S is probably the more entertaining car so I'd recon it's the "winner". Similar cars with totally different personalities for totally different people. Still think there's something to be said for the Turbo S just in the way it does its wicked things. I don't think it's as "dull" a car as some people make it out to be. I'd have to drive both, but if I was to have only one car to do it all in, I'd probably have the 570GT I saw on the weekend. Came with a gorgeous cream/tan interior.. lovely
