2009 Carrera 4 Cab - was out picking up my daughter and stopped at the gas station. Turned off the headlights (still baffles me that there are no auto on/off - but whatever) and went a click to far and the switch was pointed to a litttle dot left of "off". Didn't seem to do anything. I know I could look in the manual, but it's 1 am. Anyone know what this magical position does?

I assume you are referring to parking lights (left/right) position. If you pull the light switch out and past the "off" mark, there will be two positions to turn on the parking lights on either left or right side of the car. This was intended for narrow European streets when parking car at night. In the picture it is that < P > positions.

Sorry, wrong forum. Should be in the 997. Thanks for the reply though. In the 997 off says "home". Then there is a dot to the left. Tried to post a pic but never works from my phone. As far as I can tell the dot and home do the same thing.
