Default Front bumper canards

Does anyone know who makes front bumper canards for the GT4?

Yes.

Why?

Do you want aero data as well?

Or is this just a "for looks" thing?

There are a few vendors out there. I would recommend RSS, theirs were in development last I checked but they could be out by now.

My parts are right around the corner, canards included,,, still might be a few weeks before fully in production. Still running a lot of CFD analysis, and still dialing everything in, excuse the rough mesh from the CFD model, it optimizes a tessellated version for the cfd runs(currently working on a NURBS model).

What about the air that goes through the radiators or under the car and out the wheel wells. A large function of a dive plane is to create vortices along the side of the car that help reduce drag over the wheel wells. I'm not sure if the effect of canards will be well represented with CFD unless these flows are included.

that's primarily the only function of a canard, lot's of people think canards will add downforce, that is not the case. this particular cross section is from the center of the car.

Eventually once the design has been dialed in I will publish images and result of the canards, which will look like this vvv. This is work myself and my aero guy completed for my winning Local Motors entry a few years ago. The dive plane designed for that car was more similar to that of an LMP car, the canard for the GT4 will have a similar effect to the one that came on the GT3RS 4.0
