Engine gasket set 1984 porsche 928 new member

I found it easier to unplug all of the fuel injection top end harness and just lay it over the passenger side fender than trying to pass all of the wires from the EZK & LH and the such through the firewall. Good Luck and welcome. Pic of my engine in my avatar was much easier to work on out of the vehicle.

I did the same with the injector harness, but some very knowledgeable folks here swear that feeding the connectors one at a time smallest to largest through the firewall makes it a piece of cake.

Did you download a copy of the PET yet? The parts list for the gasket kit is in Illustration 198-00R. Search the document for that, or for 928 100 901 01.
After that, you can go back and search the document for the part numbers that you see in the kit to see where they go. Be cautious, though, since the 83-86 PET covers two types of engines.

Thank you all for the great information. I'm still waiting on the engine lift. Hopefully in a week I will have the engine out. I'm hoping to coax my friend into helping me. He works on a lot of old American cars. I'm bringing the beer and thanks to you guys. Some knowledge.
Jeremy, I just searched it. Thanks.
i don't think I'm going to use all of the gaskets because I've heard the bottom part of the engine is a beast so not to mess with it....

I figured out most of the gaskets and I'm putting the engine back together. I have one large gasket and I don't know what it is. Anyone? I feel like I missed something.
What gasket is this?

That's 930 110 394 00, it seals the airflow meter to the lower intake plenum on '78 and '79 cars (only). Not used for your '84.
