I couldn't tell you what the gains of the 997 throttle body are, but you certainly can bore out the OEM plenum and bolt it up.

I've been a bit busy to do anything with the car...still pending tune.

I bought a house in "the woods" and spent my entire weekend chopping down bushes. Not the good kind of bush... Last weekend was appliance shopping...

Maybe I am getting married and just don't know?

Bringing this one back from the dead to ask a couple quick questions. I'm working on this mod now (rad tilt, bumper screens, etc.) and I've seen all the great threads - particular thanks to OZ951 for the cutting templates and tips on his site.

2 questions remain...

Can anyone comment on inner diameter of the rad hoses that need extensions? Curious what size extensions I need to get my hands on.
Also, any detail on draining/refilling/purging the coolant lines (or at least the centre rad) before I cut the hoses in half to extend them? I may end up flipping the rad like some others here have tried, but either way I'll need to do some draining.

Getting ready to do this mod. I already have the RS wing, and it's time to replace radiators, so I figure now is the right time to add the RS front bumper vents. Has anyone cut the vent holes with anything other than a Dremel tool? I'd like to use something that will produce the cleanest edge possible.

Pretty sure the 3/4 ID electrical conduit is what I used, not positive though.

I also think I have some full size templates that I misappropriated from somewhere...

What tool did you use to cut the slots? Also, did you use the GT2 chimney to seal off the back of the radiator?

I am pretty sure I used a jig saw with a blade to cut plastic. Then cleaned it up with fine sand paper. I fabbed some standoff, sealed the bottom applied mesh, but did not use the chimney. It was not perfect, but good enough. I may fix it up later...

Does anyone with access to PET have the part number for the 996 GT2 "chimney" - i.e., the duct that seals off the back side of the radiator and forces air up through the bumper vents?

I ended up using the turbo/GT2 duct. I wouldn't say it goes in nicely, but with a bit of trimming you can wedge it in there. I was very impressed with the added grip up front once this was all done.

Does the regular turbo use the same chimney as the GT2? I didn't think the regular turbo had upper bumper vents at all.

I got the part number from Suncoast for the 996 GT2 radiator "chimney"

The part number is 996-575-325-30

It's item #13 in the picture below. Hopefully my shop can modify/trim this part to make it work with the 996 GT3 bumper vents

Sorry about the bad #. This is what the PET told me for TT & GT2...
