I just installed DesignTek mufflers on my 997.1S and I am liking it so far. Full review coming soon. In the meantime, this page helped me in making my decision. If you are looking for a loud muffler then DesignTek is not for you. It is louder than OEM but quieter than PSE. I like the tone of the DesignTek better than Gundo hack but that's personal taste.

At less than U$600, I took the plunge thinking there is no big loss if I don't like it. The DesignTek muffler turns out to be everything I expected so I am a happy camper.

I am running Fabspeed Maxflo side mufflers and a Sharkwerks Centre bypass.

Sounds great at startup, not overwhelming at low RPM, but really comes to life once you get past 3K RPM and absolutely love the sound at WOT! No annoying drone either.

I am running Cargraphic rear mufflers.
I wont comment on the sound as that is very subjective.
However as for the noise level/volume of the exhaust, its perfect for a daily.
Its quite a bit louder then stock under throttle and just noticeable on the highway.
My car is not a DD so I'm looking for more.

I'mConsidering taking out my cats.

Best bang for the buck on performance and sound to start is getting rid of those ridiculously restrictive factory cats, which also happen to be quite prone to failure and deterioration. Would you just look at them...

We also offer a Supercup and Maxflo Muffler replacement. The Maxflo is very docile off the gas and provides a much throatier, sportier exhaust note under full throttle. The Supercup is more aggressive than the Maxflo with accentuated burble, overrung and increased sound level. It is glorious, although has a bit more sound penetration into the cabin at cruising speed under low RPM load.

Videos don't do it justice, but here is some of both. More on youtube in different configurations and the 996/997.1 systems are essentially the same thing, just search around

996/997 Maxflo w/ Sport Cats

996/997 Supercup

For those interested we are having a special this month give me a call and I'll take care of you

Bumping another old thread... I just got a new to me 06 C2S.
It has the soul muffler bypass and is too loud for my taste.

Fister and fabspeed are the two options that come up most frequently in my search. I don't have the valve option on the car otherwise I was considering a stock sport exhaust. Fabspeed was front running for me at the moment. I'm a bit worried the maxflo would be too quiet and the supercup will be too loud. So now I feel a little stuck.

Any other newer, note worthy options out there?
