When I bought my car, it clearly had one new headlight and one old one. Today I finally got around to working on the old yellowed one. I had an ECS Tuning headlight restore kit and one I bought at Advance Auto. Started with the ECS kit. I didn't seem to be getting any results. Switched to the Pittsburgh Automotive (Advance Auto Parts) kit which seemed to work a little better. It had 500, 800 and 3000 grit sanding discs plus a foam polishing pad disc. The ECS kit just had 800 and 3000 discs. I spent about 2 hours working on it. Here are the results:
Question is, am I being too ****? Is there that big of a difference? Should I start over and start with a coarser grit? Should I take it to a pro detailer? Should I say "screw it" and move on?
Definitely looks uneven. I would get another ECS and Pittsburg kit and then switch which side gets which. That way neither side gets jealous and triggers premature bulb failure.
Being as it's a Turbo, you had better fix that. Otherwise the difference in drag coefficient between your old and new headlights will have you moving in a circle. Probably OK for us NA types, but in a Turbo, Bad Things could happen.

Too ****? You're a lawyer for heaven's sake. And it's a GUARDS RED turbo! That headlight is disgraceful and looks like a wart on the face of this fine automobile.
I recommend that you sell me the car - at a significant discount due to the massive visual flaw - and I'll just live with the bad headlight. We're clearly much less **** here in Canada eh.
