Default AC "O" ring lubricant

When replacing "O" rings should the rings be lubed with anything?

Lube the o-rings with refrigerant oil - whichever you are using as required by the refrigerant of choice.

You can also use Nylog (Red or Blue depending, again, upon refrigerant) on the junction threads if you want.

IIRC Nylog Blue is for r134a and Red is for r12. (I mark the bottles so I don't have to remember.)

For r12 use refrigeratant mineral oil; Ester oil for r134a.

The following is from their website for Nylog Blue:
Compatibility
The Blue Label Nylog, passed the sealed tube test in mixtures of POE, PAG, mineral, and alkyl benzene oils in the presence of HFC-134a, and also in cross blends of CFC and HCFC refrigerants. Nylog Blue has recently passed seal tube testing with R-410a in POE and PVE lubricants.
