Exact way I would do it as well. Actually just got matt black PORSCHE for my windshield. Have to be close to see it and it's subtle.

Here I am, still on my dealer-installed tank of gas, doing 'parade laps'
because I can't floor it yet or go above 4200rpm, but I can corner hard

Went driving today...what fun! A thunderstorm was to the southwest moving east, and I got just a drop or two as the anvil cloud menaced me. Still in break-in mode, though, and am rigorously following procedures. Still a blast! Gave the brakes a workout as some idiot almost creamed me and a gal in a Mitsu at a NJ circle. Ya gotta watch out for the morons every second!
