Default Dundon Motorsports 991 GT3RS on the dyno!

Hi Guys,

We were able to line up an RS for us to play with on the dyno. Baselines were started tonight in the capable hands of Frank Smith of TTFS.

The RS is sensitive to air being directed at the intake vents (duh...) but rarely do people do this when testing cars on the dyno. We're running some experiments testing the effect of fans pointed at the air intakes, ambient temps etc...

So far as we suspected, the car makes more power with cooler air and with fans pointed at the intakes.

Frank's dyno is stingier yet than ours and I like that. RS with no air at the intakes was 410whp, with air at the intakes 425whp

When we dyno'd on a dynojet it was 430whp so we're in a similar ballpark to start. Frank was getting the headers on tonight, will do some baselines with the headers tomorrow, then the tuning begins!

Frank's working on getting power, working through the torque limiters, keep exhaust flaps open all the time with the button... I'm sure other interesting things will come up as we have the car until next week... I'll keep this updated as we learn more!

Keep us updated. I usually have gone with Sharkwerks cat back. I wonder if full headers and high cats might be in my future.

Don't forget to adjust numbers lower for non-UV colors

Looking forward to seeing more.

Re: side vents and power, anybody know how the R is addressing its lack of side vents to avoid losing power?

Default 470whp RS anyone?

Got some numbers for you and a graph.

When we ran the 991 RS on the dynojet we've run everything on we got 430 whp stock and 450whp with our headers with a 25whp max gain. We believe this dyno is accurate and since we've run everything from 996 GT3-991RS stock/modified, etc we have a lot of faith in the numbers.

Franks Dyno at TTFS is even stingier than the dynojet we were on, about 9-10whp less than the dyno-jet we use.

That said here's the dyno-jet numbers with just the Dundon Race Headers

20whp peak, 25whp max gains with Dundon Race Headers

Here's what Frank was able to get on his dyno

991 GT3RS Dundon Race Headers + Tune

Total gain on his dyno was 37whp peak for headers and tune.

On the dyno jet we run we figure this is about 44-45whp gains, taking the total of Dundon Race Headers and Tune to about...

470whp for Dundon Race Headers and Tune

We were also able to address the cold start bark, ran out of time to get the exhaust flap open all the time, but know where it is... and do the tuning and updates over OBDII

I'm confirming that we have the overrun map to be able to add the flames and crackle that others have asked for.

Contact us for tune pricing and cloned ECU availability.

Can you also make it spit out flames on demand?

Well done.

Maybe not on demand but when you would let off the gas, checking on that...
