I have seen this style seat before, possibly in early 911? Similar to early 928 SPORT seats. Was there any Rhyme or reason to what cars were equipped with these or were these added after? They appear to be manual. Thanks!
These are not the stock early seats. The early ones had the deep pleats in them, and a more aggressive side bolster. They were manual too. These could be 911 seats, or a specialized 928 seat (or both)
Thanks!
Yep, I know all about the pleated seats, not fun to recreate Did these from scratch
BUT.....the pleated seats are not the only version fitted to early 928s. I am betting the ones in my original post are 911 units, but wasn't sure if anyone had ever seen this style fitted from stock.
Cheap seats were used in '80-82 MY 4.5L ROW cars to keep cost down. It was possible to get normal seats for extra cost. There were other cost cutting done to those same cars like no storage box between rear seats.
