My SA said the guy is doing the PPF on Tuesday (takes all day), and
should be ready to pick up Thursday. I countered that I'd much prefer
picking it up Tuesday night.
Is there any consensus on how much time a dealer needs to prep a
car?

Christmas!
Mine is too! I was a the dealer signing papers and waiting from 9:15 to 10:30AM,
the window my SA said the trucks usually show up, and then left. My SA said
that it was most likely because of the 3-day weekend and trucking regs, that
the car wouldn't show up till Tuesday!
But while doing chores I got the call that it has shown up, so I will be
able to see it tomorrow (prior commitments for the PM)...
I did see a base Cayman in rhodium silver there, and I am happy. It will
be pretty. I asked the SA if he could send me a photo to my phone.
You can tell I've been slightly luke warm about him, but he and his manager
were polite and sincere in telling me about the satisfaction survey I would
get, and that they are at risk if even one little thing is less than top-marks.

Brand new to forum but have been lurking - You must have just missed the truck. My SA at Stead pinged me at 10:35 that truck arrived. I saw your Rhodium - I have the GT Silver. I'll be picking up tomorrow - getting PPF elsewhere

My guy at Stead texted me today to look at your cars,
he also had a yellow one to look at and has a preowned one that will be coming in shortly. Bought a RS from him late last year and excited to get behind the wheel of the GT4. Great guy he literally had a line of people when I went in waiting for him today. He's funny very laid back not a gear head, just a really nice guy, Mike Pardini.
Might swing back today and test drive a GTS Cayman. Need to get over the size of the Cayman.
RS values down a tad lately wondering if the same will happen to GT4's in the future?

Will likely find GT4 a bit more accessible - just feel fortunate to drive this - and likely will hold its value better than most. Watching values is like watching stocks - I've outsourced that so I can focus on fun stuff like this car
Joe - saw your R Silver - looks great!

Pre-washed, pre-wrapped, but here!
I too am now a GREEN COVE graduate! I think I'll get to
drive it home Tuesday night, or Wednesday... I'm seeing about the
clear LED turn signals...
