am pretty sure it's more like 160,000 miles, not 80. Definitely not 17,000 km.

The graphics look non-Porsche and more like aftermarket European styling add-ons. No knowledge of a Porsche styling attempt incorporating this look .....

That car was exactly the euro equivalent of my dear ol' Gramps built in Nov '77. Same interior/seats and so on. The early cars didn't have a lot of different "themes" as some of the later 924s had (to boost interest/sales). That car is a 4 speed (indicated by the shifter & accordion rubber boot) and has cast alloy (VW?) 14"x6" 4 bolt wheels. disc front & drums rear was standard with optional 4 bolt rear disks (I *think*).

A bare bones fun little car. The 5 speed is a REAL upgrade though....

I would agree that it is a standard 924 with euro add ons and some stickers for effect.
The easiest way to understand its heritage is to contact Marc Noack at Porsche Classic.
PM me and I will send you his details - he regularly helps out Porsche owners by searching the Porsche Database for car history - all you need is the chassis number.

Nice find though!

Thanks for the responses guys. Did anybody notice the teardrop mirror? I tried following the EBAY link and it listing was a dead end. Got the bright idea of checking German EBAY and found it.

Ray, I sent Marc the Deustche EBAY link and asked what 924 this was in my limited and terrible German. He should be rolling on the floor when he reads it
