Default Front windshield inner guide P/N?

Hello,

I would like to know if exist separate this metal-plastic guide where the exterior rubber/seal of the windshield slide in and is secured. Seems like the 993 is common to see this part broken. Searching in the PET there's a "rubber" showed seating in the back of the glass, I would think this is the part I need, but looking for the P/N 99354143501 in the web shows some simple rubber and not the plastic/metal guide for the frame/glass.

I need to replace this piece but at this point I'm not sure if it does come only with brand new windshield together or actually exist as separate item?

Thanks

You can not order that separate from the windshield. You figure someone would have figured that out by now but they haven't. I just went through this and the only way you can get it is to order a new windshield. It is bonded on there.

That's what I thought...danmit! I guess I will just figure out how to fix that w/o replacing the windshield.

Thanks anyways!

I just went through the whole windshield, rust-in-the-A-pillar process. Read about 1000 threads on the topic before starting it.

For the front and rear glass (993) that trim piece is indeed bonded to the glass and not an individual / purchase-able piece.

Some one who gets a 3rd party company (china?) to extrude these for sale, could do a brisk business. I had to replace otherwise perfectly good front and BACk glass due to this.

For the windshield, I used the SENIOR Safelite installer locally. He knows these cars. Their glass was oem approved brand made in germany (Pilkinton) Was under $600 glass and install. I supplied the inner and out rubber mouldings and he filled in the void to eliminate water settling/rust in the future.

Anyway, I would kick $$ into a kickstarter campaign to make these trims!!
