Very true, it seems like that GT3 sits a bit lower, however he still has to reverse even with the lifting system (which should take the GT3 a bit higher than the standard GT4). I guess there will be at least two people looking stupid in that garage soon

It's not ground clearance you want to look at; that's only important if you're worried about whether your bumper will ram a speed bump or something. What you want to look at is approach angle, which takes into account ground clearance and front overhang, and is probably what is necessitating backing into a driveway. In any case, I'm fairly sure that both ground clearance and approach angle on a GT4 are between the GT3 without the lift engaged and the GT3 with the lift engaged. But if that worries you, take a page out of user1029's playbook: "My co-workers said the GT4 made me look extremely stupid -- so I got new co-workers."

That said, I can't see why backing into the garage makes a real difference. Even accounting for the suspension compressing slightly differently when backing in, the angles involved are still the same.

I recently received my GT4 and measured the clearance under the jack points with OEM wheels and tires. Front was 4 9/16" and rear was 4 15/16".

Awesome to hear. Was a little concerned the quickjack may not go under the sides

I have one and it's my new favorite tool. Fits great on GT4.

Thanks Eric. Quick query, do you use the thin rubber blocks or the thick blocks that are included? And how do you feel about the quality of the unit?

Thin, and they just barely fit. Far exceeds my expectations for quality. Having two toy/track cars, I became annoyed with maintenance and found myself dreading working on the cars. This now makes it so easy that I am enjoying myself again which makes all the difference. I have buddies that come over and use it because it is so much better than the old method.

Approach angle is everything. I have massive speed bumps at work and I thought I would never clear them.

Pics don't do it justice.

I also measured the minimum clearance between the front spoiler lip and my 4" high Race Ramps and it measured 1-1/4". Not much room to drop ride height if running 235/35 - 19 R7s.

I found the information - its 6 degree approach angle for a GT4 with the front lip spolier

Quick Reply: what is the ground clearance for the GT4?
