Droning. It does slightly drone the smallest amount in normal mode. In beast mode it is noticeable but not overbearing.
Volume. In normal mode it is no different than stock - despite the online propaganda. In Beast mode it is much louder than PSE but still portrays an amazing H6 sound - higher pitched than most but not like the online videos. IPE has some great videos online but these videos all feature the full system with IPE catless headers which is not made clear or a fair comparison. This boarders on false advertising by emittance for me. The system will do on, off or auto. I did not hook up auto as I intend to implement the factory button and feared tying into the ECU - this is needed on Akrapovic. My install is either on or off(depending on if my wife is in the car and or I am going through a tunnel/underpass. Top down is mandatory beast mode.
Quality. "B" in terms of construction. (Akra and "A" - Fabspeed and AWE being "C+) It's not as pretty as an Akrapovic but better than AWE and Fabspeed in terms of uniform welds. It will hold up fine over time with minimal risk of failure but it's not as perfect as the marketing portrays. The clamps needed to be tightened after a few weeks but have been fine ever since.
Tips. They should be painted black... since they are not flush, the longer one stays black from the gas exiting out of the shorter tip on each side. Slightly larger than stock but if we were comparing the differences in pen1s size... WAY BIGGER! The tip that is.
Value - for what you get with the remote valve FOBs, material, construction and valves it is good value. More expensive than AWE & Fabspeed but half the Akrapovic (which does not include the remotes for valves). It is nicer and lighter than the AWE/FS as well.
